We were very fortunate to be able to attend this inspiring concert. They had about 100 people in the choir and 40 in the orchestra. We got to go with a great group of young people from Betel Baptist. One of the young ladies, Doro, was in the choir 🙂. She did a great job!

Thursday night we visited fellow believers in Cherelus at Biserica Ghetsimani! We had a great time of worship and fellowship. One of our favorite experiences in worship is when we can worship in two languages at once. This happens during both of these songs and is most noticeable in the second one. Enjoy!
What a nice way to finish off this marvelous trip! We worshipped in Firi Tiez in the morning. You can listen to Emily's testimony below. We were also blessed to hear some children sing and recite Bible verses and poems.
Sunday night we were delighted to be at Bethel in Arad. It was a great time of worship! Our team sang with the youth and we also heard their youth and some children sing. There were some technical difficulties with the video but there are a few clips and they are well worth watching!
After church we had dinner and a time of games and fellowship. What a great way to end our two week trip. Thanks to every one who has been praying. We have seen God at work!
The team had such a good time reuniting with fellow believers in the Baptist church in Motru. It was an encouraging time of worship, sharing, and fellowship. The Spirit was obviously present and we were all very blessed. After the service we had fun time of eating and singing together.
On Friday we took a beautiful drive out to a wonderful farm retreat and spent the day visiting, playing, eating, and singing! We celebrated one of our team members birthdays - Emily. We also almost go to pet some cows that walked past our car as we were attempting to drive down the road! We love Romania!
Notice the crate of fresh cherries! The trees are loaded with them.
There was lots of volleyball!
Fun talking with these young ladies!
We are glad someone was there to play the Cajon!
Emily's birthday cake! Beautiful and delicious!
Emily is surprised by her cake and having happy birthday sung to her in Romanian as well as English!
After the picnic we went over to Pastor Cristi and Alina's house and had some pizza and fun conversation! What a blessing for them to have their home completed.
We had such a good time visiting our friends in Cherelus! We had a great service and lively worship. Below are a few video clips and photos from our time together.
In this clip listen closely as we worship God in English and Romanian at the same time. It is always such blessing when this happens. There are truly no words to describe it!
Sarah asks in this testimony, "What are you living for?"
Theteam had a great time touring, sitting in classes, singing with and talking to friends, old and new, at the Baptist High School in Arad.
The following video combines two short segments from songs that the students sung for us (our
apologies for the choppy cut).
It was a great time and we look forward to seeing them again.
Later in the evening we went to a village church in Sepreus and enjoyed their wonderful hospitality and shared in singing and testimonies. God has been very good!

We had a visit with some friends in their grand house!
Our team traveled all the way across Romania and down to the Danube Delta. While there we got to spend some time with some young friends. We sang, played games, and laughed a lot! You can watch a very short video clip of a couple of the songs we sang together. There were more pictures taken, however the cable didn't make the trip with us, so we may get to see them later. But for now, enjoy the short video.
Sunday our team had a great time worshipping with our Romanian brothers and sisters at Bethel, in Arad. We hope you can get a taste of how wonderful it was from this medley of songs.
We had an incredible time visiting in a local high school in Arad! The students prepared some wonderful music for us and were very gracious as we sang and spoke with them. What a wonderful group! They were engaged and joined with us by singing and clapping along. Our team had a a great time!
We would like to share three short videos with you. The first is Tabitha Mabus with a message about honesty within the body of Christ. The second is Oliver Alexander challenging us to bring our all secrets into the light and repent and be freed from them.
These first two are very powerful talks that go well together and have blessed and challenged many of us.
The third is a short clip from a song that was performed by a church youth choir. We enjoyed listening to them and thought we would share a bit of it with you as well!
We pray you are also blessed and challenged by these videos!
We had a great time visiting the 11th and 12th grades at a high school in Arad, Romania on Wednesday! Meeting new friends, sharing and singing. We look forward to continuing our relationship with these new friends in future years. One of the highlights was the team playing Build Your Kingdom Here by Rend Collective. We hope you enjoy watching it half as much as we did performing it!
We had a great opportunity to visit a high school here in Arad, Romania. It was a wonderful morning. We were with the 9th and 10th graders today. Tomorrow we will be able to visit with the 11th and 12th grades. They sang to us, it was incredible. Then we had the chance to sing to them and then three of our team members shared a message with them. Tomorrow the other three young team members will share and we will sing again! The following video features some excerpts from the morning! ENJOY!!

You can learn all about the upcoming trip and catch up with old friends and make new ones! We will open up at 5:00 pm and stay open until about 10:00. Hope to see you all there! You can see the event posting on our FaceBook page.
We hope you enjoy these two songs. The first song, Our God is Grater, is a wonderful example of our team singing with some of our Romanian friends. On this song we were joined by Alina, Denisa, and Andrei. This was our opening song on our final Sunday morning in Arad. It was very moving. The second song, Amazing Grace, was sung at Nuziman Church, a village just outside the city of Arad. We always enjoy going to Nuziman! The girls took this song on alone and did a great job. We are so blessed to have been able to go on this wonderful trip to encourage the saints in Romania. We were also greatly encouraged in the process. Enjoy!
We visited another of Pastor Balog's churches Friday night. It was obvious that the Spirit was moving. There were several children in this church and one of the babies had a warm welcome from our team. There is a very short video of her meeting some of us.
You can also watch the video of the team singing Holy, Holy, Holy and Sarah Heffington's testimony. We are feeling blessed and enjoying watching God work.
We had a wonderful time visiting old and new brothers and sisters in Christ at the church in the village of Șomoșcheș. We sang and gave testimonies and Pastor Balog led them in song (in English for our benefit). After the evening service we were graciously invited for dinner at the Pastors house. It was delicious and we finished off the meal with very tasty home grown strawberries! What a treat! It was a great night! You can hear one of the songs our team sang: In Christ Alone and Amy Edmonston's testimony below. We pray you are encouraged by them.
We had the opportunity to visit a local public school today and we will probably go back towards the end of our trip. We answered many questions they had and sang for them and then, to our surprise, they sang for us! Here is a short snippet of that song!
As I was praying a few months ago about this trip to Romania, I asked God to give me a verse that would be my theme or "battle cry" for this trip. It would also serve as a call to action as I charge ahead into the coming changes in my own life. Just like God always does He answered that prayer in His perfect way: "The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it." John 1:5 The verse practically leaped off the page at me. Jesus is the Light referred to and that Light is in us. No matter where we go we spread that light around us, strengthening and encouraging others with that same light. Whether theirs is a spark that leaps into a flame in response to encouragement, or a resolute candle burning with unwavering courage in the gloom of this world. We, as Christians, are called to be an example and a beacon of hope for those in darkness. This is what I pray for this Romanian Missions Trip. I pray we can be an example; in our travels, while speaking in churches, interacting with the Romanian people, singing praises to God, communicating with the youth. Preparing the way for the Lord by spreading His light, which is in us, everywhere we go. Not only on this trip, but also in the next chapter of my life as a nurse, I will strive to exemplify His light, be His hands, His feet, and speak with His words. So, it is with eager expectation that I look forward to this trip! I can't wait to see what the Lord does!
What a wonderful evening of music! We really enjoyed hearing Daniel Heffington sing some of his classic songs as well as some brand new ones for us.
The whole team was together for the first time and God blessed the evening in many ways. In addition to seeing friends, listening to great music, we also raised 1,071.00 for this years missions trip! We are so thankful for all those who came out to the concert and gave so generously! Your support is such an encouragement for the entire team. Please keep us in your prayers. We will be posted as we can from Romania so you can "go with us" on our trip.
