Adventure Is Out There!!

Trinity Romanian Missions Team 2016
Bethany Hertzler
I’m going to Romania . . . . . .

Honestly, it still hasn’t completely sunk in yet.  The fact remains a little surreal.  Right now life is presenting me with many things to keep my mind very busy.  In order to cope and maintain some form of sanity I am dealing with each project, challenge, obstacle, and priority, as it presents itself.  Even though May is technically not that far away there are many  “to-do’s” between now and leaving on this year’s Trinity Romanian Missions Trip.

However, when I stop, take a moment to breath and think about this adventure soon to happen - I’m excited.  I’m uncertain of what to expect; how to prepare emotionally and spiritually.  I am slightly intimidated.  But mostly excited.

I look forward to meeting our brothers and sisters in Romania.  That’s what excites me the most: to converse with them;  learning about their lives;  finding common interests;  talking together about God.  I don’t know how to anticipate this adventure as a whole.  But I know that it will be exactly that - an adventure!

I know God has specific plans for this trip and for each individual on the team and for those we meet while there AND along the way.  The sense of adventure comes from following His lead through it all.  Adventure is out there!!

A Bit Out Of My Comfort Zone

Trinity Romanian Missions Team 2016
Tyler Stoltzfus
The 2016 Trinity Romanian Missions Trip is only two months away!  I haven’t had much time to think about it yet because I have been so busy coaching basketball.  Yet I am excited to travel to Romania and meet all the people I’ve been hearing about for four years and see Pastor John again.  I am also looking forward to encouraging and ministering to the Romanian people in any way I can.

Last year when the team left for Romania I left for Haiti.  It was my first time out of our country and it was very exciting.  I felt very handicapped by not knowing their language.  The Haiti trip was a work trip.  We built a house for one of the local Haitians.

This trip to Romania will be very different since it is focused on encouraging and ministering to the people themselves.  It is a bit out of my comfort zone to be up in front of people.  Nonetheless, I am excited for the opportunity and looking forward to seeing all that God will do during our time there!

Trinity Romanian Missions Trip 2016

As the name indicates, this is a fundraiser for Trinity Romanian Missions Trip 2016.  The softball tournament is a great way to get a lot of people involved in the trip, especially teens and young adults, as well as raise money for the teams in country expenses.  Last year Tyler Stoltzfus organized a similar tournament for the Haiti Missions Trip.  It was an extremely fun day for the athletes and the fans!

Experience The Vastness of God

Trinity Romanian Missions Trip 2016
Amy Edmonston
We like to think of things in black and white.  My way or the highway.  I have been coming more and more to the  realization that this cannot always be the case in a world of billions of people where no two or them are the same.  This is only made more clear when you visit another country as we are preparing to do.

Recently God has been impressing on me that He speaks to people differently and uses them differently.

It is my hope to encourage our friends in Romania to pursue their relationship with God as He leads, and to experience the vastness of God’s ability to reach into every individual’s life.
